My Star

image

“There I was, blinded by a star so bright
Illuminating my heart, making my day alright
Something so far that looks so near
Being apart for a thousand light years”

You can easily glance and stare at your crush, you can easily gaze upon her beauty. Though physically you can be near to her, socially you are light years away. No matter what you do, you know she is too far away. All you can do is stare, you will never ever reach.

  1. I had a crush on a girl once. It took five years for me to work up the courage to tell her. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. She told me that it was sweet, she wasn’t dating at the moment. That wasn’t good enough for me. I wanted to know that if there was no chance at all, she should tell me. I couldn’t live with false hope. So she did. She told me I could never happen. I wasn’t the kind of guy she would ever date. And I felt as though a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Yes, I was depressed, and it took a few weeks to get over, but compared to the agony of the crush, it was so much better. By the time she was got married, a year and a half later, I happily attended. There was no hurt. No pain. She meant nothing to me. I had moved on. And it was wonderful.

Only if I had the same courage, I struggle to express myself.

      1. Like I said, it took me five years. It was only when a friend told me if I didn’t tell her, he would, that I forced myself to go ahead with it.
